The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Subiaco, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

393C New Saddle Bar At Dundalk Stadium H'cap

The Raceday Stewards fined Noel C. Kelly, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared tongue strap to Queen Leila (GB), prior to entering the parade ring.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Caoilte, trained by David Marnane, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Keskon, trained by Noel C. Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was keen all the way.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Wedding Year, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered leaving the gates. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Cillian Rowan, rider of Comfort Line, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he felt he had not connected with one of the strikes and as such was not in breach. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Cillian Rowan was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, (excessive frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended Cillian Rowan for two racedays. Having been informed of the nature of the enquiry and their right to be accompanied, Cillian Rowan elected to proceed without accompaniment.

W.J. Lee, rider of Hollys Graces, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a check on the first bend and also in the straight. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

R.M Mulligan, rider of La Dame Blanche, trained by Dermot Kilmartin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly in the last furlong.

393G Racing Again May 26th H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the first bend involving Yup Bro, ridden by R.P. Cleary, Eastern Wind (GB), ridden by Sadhbh Tormey, Doctor Grace, ridden by S. Coen, and If Dora Could (GB), ridden by R.M Mulligan where it appeared Eastern Wind ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R. P. Cleary stated that he maintained his line as the horses on his outside moved in, when the horse on his inside also kicked into the gap. Sadhbh Tormey stated that she was taking back looking for cover when things got tight. S. Coen stated that he maintained his line and felt the horses on his inside moved out. R. M. Mulligan stated that his mount was very keen. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

R.M Mulligan, rider of If Dora Could (GB), trained by Dermot Kilmartin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was keen early on.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the home straight involving Electric Beauty, ridden by W. Joyce, and Doctor Grace, ridden by S. Coen, where it appeared Electric Beauty drifted right into the path of Doctor Grace. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.E. Harnett, rider of Ferrari Desert (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. E. Harnett was in breach of Regulation 10.3.b, (out of contention) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended J. E. Harnett for two racedays. Having been informed of the nature of the enquiry and their right to be accompanied, J. E. Harnett elected to proceed without accompaniment.

J.E. Harnett, rider of Ferrari Desert (GB), trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
